Recorded at Reg's Place on July 5th, 2012 with special guest, comedian Tommy Muñoz.

  • Horrible real life events made into grueling dramatic film adaptations! From 9-11 to the girl who was forced to strip and do jumping jacks at McDonald's: what movies haven't they made yet? Jess is about to "look into dat"!
  • Larry talks about the lonely life of a road comic in this week's Dad's Corner(ed). It's like that song, "Turn the Page" or "Cats in the Cradle" but with hotel rooms with free cable.
  • Tommy shares his stories of fist-meets-face that actually could make a good foundation for a Jason Statham flick.
  • This week's "Hey, That's Not Funny" covers people who are hurt by animals and why they're probably stupid and don't deserve our charity, according to Regan.

One of our favorite wgdeinds EVER!!! It was fun and entertaining for everyone, all the while being classy and beautiful. Megan and Sami did an incredible job of bringing their guests into their world of travel, which was the theme of the wedding. What more could you ask for then a photo booth, cinema room, open bar, great food and music, and a truly wonderful couple like these two!

Very well explained David ! I knew it had sotnhmieg to do with the conservation of angular momentum but that did not mean much to me. Glad I know what's going on up there now. Is the moon made of cheese is my second question ? +3Was this answer helpful?

Hi Lahcen,This is a very interesting qosetiun.Actually, the moon DOES spin around its axis. It spins at the same angular speed than it takes it to rotate across the Earth (approximately 360ba/28 days). That's why we always see the same face of the moon. Then, the next qosetiun is why it spins and roates at the same speed!? The reasons is extremely interesting. It is thought that millions years ago, the speeds were different, with the Moon spinning faster. Then, the part of the moon facing the Earth was variable. This part of the moon was attracted by the Earth, causing periodic land/rock movements, elevation of moon's rocks (similar to tides in Earth's oceans). These movements involved friction, and hence heat release (i.e., energy loss). The total energy of the moon was then diminished over time, making it spin slower and slower. When the speed of rotation and spinning was exactly the same, then the rock movements stopped, because the side of the moon facing the Earth was (and still is) always the same. Hence, no energy was lost anymore, and an equilibrium status was reached.Source: I read this a long time ago in an Isaac Asimov's science qosetiuns and answers book. +11Was this answer helpful?
