I am thankful for the time God gave us with Kayla of course, I wish it had been much longer, but trust that I have an eternity with her that I look forward to being with her again. If there was no out break at the time and he is taking lyisne or some kind of antiviral treatment then he will be less likely to pass herpes onto you. Viral shedding can happen in between out breaks but it only happens around the time an out break happens and the odd day in between outbreaks.There is a chance that you could have escaped getting it, herpes isn't always automatically passed on when you have sex with some one that has it.You may have all ready been exposed to HSV1 orally. It's what causes cold sores and these can be passed on by being innocently kissed during child hood by some one that has cold sores. The same could have happened to you. If you have had cold sores before then you would be less likely to be reinfected by HSV1 but you still have a small chance of getting HSV2.I think this is all in your head. You should wait at least 1-3 months before getting tested. If you test too early you can get false negatives. Natalie, Thanks so much for sharing your story. Mike and I had heard about your twin baby girls and that one of them wasn't going to make it. I am so glad that you had those two pruoices hours with your baby girl Kayla and that God has given you the opportunity to raise your other one. Our baby girl Gracie Anne was born on September 1st, 2011 and I can't imagine the pain you and Wes felt losing Kayla but know very well the joy that you have in raising her twin. What is her name? When were they born? Thanks for your thoughts about how to love a friend who wants to be a mom but is struggling with infertility. Some of my best girlfriends aren't moms yet and really want to be so it was great insight for me in how to love them better. Dear Natalie, Thank you so much for sharing so opnley about your pain and the grace that you found throughout such loss. I can't imagine the pain of losing a baby at birth. I'm so glad you have been able to throw yourself on God and believe in his goodness, even in the face of things that can't be explained. I know that must be a daily choice.Looking back, it didn't take us such a long time to get pregnant, but at the time it seemed like forever. It seemed like every day someone else was announcing their pregnancy, and though I wanted to be patient, every month I felt such disappointment. When I finally got pregnant, I so excited, and then I had a miscarriage. I think it's impossible to not question why things like that happen. It seemed like it was so easy for everyone else, although I realize I didn't actually know what was involved in most of their journeys. Actually I know many people who have experienced infertility, miscarriage, or loss, but we usually only tell the people closest to us.Now I have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, and I want to remember every day how precious she is. It's easy to take pregnancy, childbirth, and children for granted to assume that everything will work out just fine because so often it does. But I think that loss helps to remind us that every single life is an incredible miracle, no matter how long it lasts.Again, thank you for sharing your heart!
